About Gabriel Lai

Gabriel recently graduated from the University of Adelaide with degrees in Law and Finance and, after completing his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, decided that tax law was the only area complicated enough to keep him entertained. 

Before joining Cartland Law, he dabbled in clerkships across commercial, family, and community law, which mostly taught him that everyone has problems, and that tax problems are at least solvable with spreadsheets. 

Still at the start of his career, Gabriel is excited to dive into the weird and wonderful world of tax, trusts, and technology, and is hoping that one day he’ll finally understand Division 7A.
